Awakening Dreams is a documentary directed by Daniel Casal and produced in collaboration with Primer Acto Florida Foundation (PAFF) and Hermanos de la Calle.

The documentary follows the journey of individuals experiencing homelessness as they participate in PAFF's theater workshops, revealing how the performing arts can become a powerful tool for healing, self-expression, and personal transformation.

Through real-life stories and intimate testimonies, the film explores the complex realities behind homelessness—including mental health challenges, addiction, unemployment, and family breakdown—while highlighting the importance of providing opportunities to rebuild confidence, purpose, and dignity.

Filmed in Miami-Dade, Awakening Dreams showcases the impact of art as a vehicle for social inclusion and reinforces PAFF's commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for underserved members of the community through culture and the performing arts.
